There aren't many places in Canada conducting GIST Cancer research at the moment, but two of the organizations who are trying to help are:

BC Cancer Foundation - With the help of the Foundation, I've been able to work out a system of direct contribution to GIST Cancer research through the creation of a GIST Tribute Fund. All funds contributed will directly support the work of renown GIST Cancer Specialist Dr. Charles Blanke at the BC Cancer Agency.

Life Raft Group Canada - The Canadian arm of this patient support organization is just getting off the ground. Though they have nonprofit status, they are still awaiting their designation as a charitable organization. Though not tax deductible, any financial support would be a big help in getting this valuable support group for GISTers across Canada.
